In Memory of Mitchell Rowlandson

It is with the greatest sadness that we announce the passing, on 4th September, of our much loved and respected Solo Trombone player Mitchell Rowlandson. Mitch played in Flookburgh Band for over 57 years and was a true bandsman and a perfect gentleman. He will be sorely missed and will be uppermost in our hearts and minds as we take to the stage at Cheltenham to compete next Sunday.

Mitch had an overwhelming passion for music not only playing in Flokburgh Band but always there to help other bands in the area, not only playing but conducting as well. Of all the solo's he played, his often cheeky rendition the The Acrobat will be remembered fondly by most.
He was without doubt a true Flookburgh Man serving the community in many ways over his lifetime and he will be sadly missed.
